TELL US ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION Jumby Bay is an exclusive, private-island resort just off the north coast of Antigua and all our guests are very special, receiving the same all-inclusive experience, whatever the style of accommodation they choose. In the resort itself, there are eight rooms and 32 suites, 28 of which were rebuilt from the ground up in 2009 and are a wonderful interpretation of contemporary Caribbean living with abundant outdoor and indoor spaces. The second accommodation option is our resort villas – spacious, beachfront properties with up to four bedrooms and a private pool. Alternatively, there are our spectacular Estate Homes with three to eight bedrooms, all fully staffed with their own butler, chef and housekeeper. WHAT ARE THE BEST WAYS TO RELAX? After a leisurely breakfast at the water’s edge, you’ll find chaise longues on the beach where our team will indulge you with iced drinks and snacks – the ice-cream sandwich is a particular favourite. There’s a road around the island, less than three miles long, which is perfect for jogging or cycling. There’s also sailing, tennis and luxurious massage treatments where guests float in ‘mid-air’ in a hammock. You can even take a helicopter volcano tour. The sunset cruises are a lovely way to wind-down at the end of a busy day too. WHAT’S ON OFFER IN THE RESORT FOR FAMILIES? In Antigua, jumbee means ‘playful spirit’ and we aim to provide plenty of entertainment. Our kids’ club, Rose Buds, includes nature adventures by bike, on the beach or in the water, as well as watersports for all ages, including snorkelling trips to nearby Stingray City, water skiing, wakeboarding and wake surfing. There are also excursions to nearby Bird Island, plus a very popular trip to Maiden Island to search for conch shells. And for anyone who loves a party, August is Carnival month, with steel bands and colourful costumes aplenty. WHAT’S BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? I remember taking my kids up to Pasture Beach after a call from the Jumby Bay Turtle Team and watching their wonder (along with that of some very lucky guests) as a nest of turtle hatchlings started popping out of the sand and scurrying down to the ocean on an amazing moonlit night. Your exclusive offer Book a minimum of seven nights in a Jumby Bay Estate Home and enjoy a complimentary three-hour excursion on the resort’s luxury yacht, Yennecot. Valid from 1 May to 18 December 2015. Subject to availability.
