Perfect for 1 or 2 couples, there will be time for each of you to focus on what you want. You’ll work with host Luciano and the weather reports to pick the best days for fishing (or chillin’!) so that you fish about 1/2 of your days on the Island. During the summer, most fishing will be for the big Tarpon offshore as the big bruisers migrate along the Island....In the Winter, we’ll target the baby Tarpon in the Mangroves of the upper Island, fly casting in beautiful, 2-5 foot deep flat. We’ll be looking for Baby Tarpon, Barracuda, Jack Crevalle, Snook and a few other exotics marauding the shallows, looking for baitfish to fill their bellies. You’ll depart the lodge early in the morning on fishing days, and make the 30 minute or so run to the fishing grounds.. running just offshore in the gentle waters of the gulf, and finally work your way past the breakwater and into the mangrove flats. After a morning chasing tarpon, you’ll enjoy a lunch and drinks in the boat while your shoulder takes a break. Some more casting after lunch will finish the day, followed by the return run to the lodge in time for fresh Ceviche and a cold beer. LOGISTICS: For meals, breakfast is at the lodge, lunch on fishing days is included on the boats... non fishing days lunch and dinner is on your own as you choose from the many fun and interesting restaurants on the Island. Like all our trips, the price includes a morning pickup in Cancun, r/t sightseeing van transfer to the lodge, followed by a 30 minute ferry to the island.
