You will be welcomed by your tour director and taken to your hotel. Day 2 : City tour of the Salt Lake City, a city founded by the Mormons and the capital of genealogy research. City tour with Temple Square for an outside view of the historic tabernacle. Once in the tabernacle, you may be able to appreciate some music if the well-know choir (350 singers) performs. Visit of the State Capitol , the seat of the Utah federated government. Lunch (full board). Afternoon halt near the Great Salt Lake, the largest salt lake in the western hemisphere. Dinner and overnight in Rexburg, Idaho. Day 3 : Leave for Yellowstone National Park . This area will appeal to lovers of geological marvels and wildlife such as bison, elk and bighorn sheep. Drive through this park with numerous natural phenomena of interest, especially the Old Faithful Geyser and Turquoise Poo l. Lunch (full board) in the park. Late afternoon drive to Cody where colorful Buffalo Bill once lived and tour of the town. Dinner and rodeo during the season (off-season, the rodeo is replaced by a visit to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center). Overnight in Cody . Day 4 : Return to Yellowstone via the south road, sloping down to Grand Teton National Park . Lunch in the park, then tour of this superb natural site. The park includes most of Wyoming’s Teton Range rising abruptly to tower 7,000 ft above the valley floor and frame a majestic landscape of lakes, glaciers and extensive forests. Beyond is Jackson Hole , a valley with streams, rivers, steep mountain slopes and the picturesque town of Jackson. Late afternoon drive south to Rock Springs . Dinner (full board) and overnight. Day 5 : Return to the state of Utah through the superb pine groves of Ashley National Forest above Flaming Gorge Reservoir . This site was discovered by the John Powell expedition in 1869. Stop, depending on weather conditions. Lunch (full board) en route. Afternoon visit of Dinosaur National Monument where the full skeletons of several prehistoric animals have been discovered. Dinner and overnight in Price .
