Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) , refers to business operations that account for the social and environmental impact of the business. CSR initiatives include measuring environmental impacts, implementing responsible purchasing policies, and instilling strong governance and ethics in both operations and office culture. Some companies actually use a management strategy called shared value , which allows them to identify business opportunities in social problems. CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY A form of corporate self-reg- ulation in which businesses strive to meet environmen- tal or social goals beyond their primary mission to earn profits. SHARED VALUE A business management strategy in which companies find business opportunities in social problems.
