On behalf of the Recreation, Parks, and Marina (RPM) Department, we are excited to share the Winter/ Spring 2023 edition of our ‘Playbook’ Recreation Guide There are many exciting events and programs happening between December 2022 and May 2023, so we hope you take the time to check out what we have to offer The holiday season kicks off with our annual Christmas on the Waterfront event on Saturday, December 3 in downtown Suisun City Thousands are expected, so we hope you join us for a family-friendly event featuring a lighted boat parade, an opportunity for pictures with Santa, tree lighting, and fireworks. We are also excited to share that our 2nd Annual Menorah Lighting event will happen on Thursday, December 22 at City Hall! As you may know, all senior activities are now held at the Nelson Center We have a variety of regular senior programs weekdays from 9am-2pm, including dance, bingo, educational seminars, special events, and trips Also for the first time since 2019, we will be hosting an in-person Senior Holiday Luncheon at the Nelson Center on Friday, December 16! After an extended closure due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, our Preschool program will return in January 2023! We are excited to welcome your preschoolers back to the Nelson Center with this program, along with the free First 5 Solano funded recreation classes program Information for both programs start on Page 7. The facility is available for meetings, weddings, parties, award ceremonies, and any other celebratory activity you wish to plan. The Banquet Room features 4,000 square feet of hard wood floor with plentiful windows, an attached private patio, and stage A full-service kitchen is attached for all of your catering needs There are also three meeting rooms with movable walls that enable the space to be configured to fit your specific needs. Suisun City Recreation is offering full day break camps for Winter, President’s, and Spring breaks for students grades 1-6 in accordance with the 20222023 Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) elementary school calendar.
